The document, developed by a White House crypto task force, outlines a vision to make the U.S. the “crypto capital of the world”—a promise made by President Donald Trump.
Described by officials as the most thorough digital asset policy to date, the report includes sweeping recommendations to clarify crypto regulations and fast-track innovation. While it makes no mention of the rumored federal bitcoin reserve, it signals a clear shift in Washington’s attitude toward digital currencies.
Once skeptical, Trump has now fully embraced cryptocurrency, rolling back certain regulations and calling for legislation that broadens access to blockchain technologies. “By implementing these recommendations, policymakers can ensure that the United States leads the blockchain revolution and ushers in the Golden Age of Crypto,” reads a fact sheet released alongside the report.
Key recommendations include:
- Immediate regulatory clarity from agencies like the SEC and CFTC on matters such as trading, custody, and registration.
